Anonymity and IP address handling
Every survey has an 'Anonymous mode' toggle in its settings, on by default. While it's on, respondent IP addresses are hashed or dropped entirely before being written to the database — never stored raw.
If you need to track IPs for a specific survey (fraud prevention, for example), you can turn Anonymous mode off in that survey's Privacy settings. It's opt-out, not opt-in.
Respondents never need an account or cookie to submit a response. You can optionally require sign-in on a per-survey basis if you need to restrict who can answer.
